Lori Wahl is an author, publisher, artist, Intuitive Energy Healer, Psychic, Medium, and Inspirational Life Mentor. Across her work, she returns to questions of perception, inner knowing, creativity, truth, beauty, the multidimensional nature of experience, and what becomes visible when the hidden or obscured is brought into awareness.
Her work has unfolded through different disciplines and chapters of her life, each with its own history and integrity. Increasingly, those strands are speaking to one another through her books, art practice, intuitive and healing work, mentoring, and Big Picture Purpose®.
A Life of Curiosity, Making, and Experience
Lori has been making things for as long as she can remember. As a child, creativity moved naturally through drawing and painting, writing, movement, dance, music, cooking, imagination, and whatever materials, sounds, flavors, or ideas were at hand.
Humor and improvisation were part of it too. Around age six, at a Christmas Eve family gathering, Lori arranged to be introduced for an impromptu performance. She entered with her back to the room, turned around, stretched her arms out to either side, and began to shimmy—revealing five or six oranges tucked into the front of her leotard. The shock and laughter were immediate. One family member even made a special call the next day, still laughing about it.
That impulse to create, surprise, play, embrace humor—and sometimes absurdity—and invite others into an experience has stayed with her.
It still appears quite literally on the dance floor. If Lori finds herself dancing alone, she may toss an imaginary lasso toward someone at the edge and playfully reel them in. Some join her. Some do not. Either way, she keeps smiling and dancing.
Her interest in language and cultures also began early, with exposure to Norwegian followed over the years by Spanish, Latin, Italian, Japanese, and German. Study, extensive travel, and living abroad in Japan deepened her interest in people, places, beliefs, traditions, and the many ways human beings create meaning.
Her life has also included restaurant ownership and entrepreneurship, motherhood, homeschooling and caregiving, volunteering and advocacy, corporate work, and decades of close work with others.
The path has not been linear or uniformly quiet. Lori has helped, questioned, challenged, confronted what needed confronting, fought for what mattered, and at times withdrawn into solitude to listen, recover, create, and reconsider. She can be irreverent and salty, fierce when something matters, deeply reflective, and compassionate.
Intuition, dreams, synchronicities, inner imagery, and moments of knowing have also helped guide her direction. Over time, she has learned to recognize receptivity and flow—and to notice when forcing an outcome pulls her away from what she knows inwardly.
Art, Perception, and Participation
Lori’s formal visual-art background began with painting and expanded into site-specific interdisciplinary multimedia installation. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Art.
Her art practice returns to people, place, perception, the visible and invisible, the relationship between individual experience and collective meaning, and what may be revealed when attention shifts.
Drawing upon image, object, storytelling, performance, place, and participation, she explores how an idea, memory, question, encounter, or state of awareness can take physical form—and how the presence of another person can alter, contribute to, or become part of the experience.
That creative lineage continues through her writing, Living Art, and the work taking shape through Big Picture Purpose.
Intuitive Work, Healing, and Mentoring
For more than 30 years, Lori has worked with people through intuitive energy healing, psychic and mediumship work, and inspirational life mentoring.
Her approach honors each person’s autonomy. She listens, reflects, questions, and helps create room for people to recognize what may be shaping their perceptions and choices, strengthen discernment, and reconnect with their own wisdom, agency, creativity, and direction.
Sometimes that means bringing attention to something that has been overlooked, avoided, obscured, or forgotten. The purpose is not to impose an answer, but to make more room for recognition and choice.
Writing the Questions She Has Lived
Lori’s books carry many of these lifelong inquiries into another form.
Self-Doubt Solutions: Reclaim Your Wisdom begins with self-doubt but moves beneath it, inviting readers to examine inherited beliefs, perception, intuition, body wisdom, and voice; to notice where they have learned to question themselves; and to reclaim a more discerning relationship with their own knowing.
Its interactive companion, Self-Doubt Solutions Playbook: Own Your Power, publishing December 8, 2026, takes the inquiry off the page and into lived experience through transformative pathways, embodied practices, symbolic and creative exploration, and Living Art—inviting readers to engage, experiment, create, and give form to what they are discovering within themselves.
Mystical Mantis: Is It Upside Down or Are We?, forthcoming in May 2027, carries the inquiry further into perception, stillness, remembrance, resonance, multidimensional experience, and the nature of reality—interweaving lived experience, storytelling, symbolic inquiry, and perspectives from others who have explored the edges of consciousness, psyche, perception, and the unseen.

Her writing does not offer another prescribed way of being. It invites observation, responsibility, humor, discernment, and a renewed relationship with one’s own knowing.

Big Picture Purpose® gathers a participatory thread that has long run through Lori’s work: reflection becoming expression, expression becoming connection, and individual experience entering a larger conversation.
Her books already invite readers beyond passive reading toward dreams, writing, creative response, embodied experience, and the possibility that what is encountered inwardly may take visible form.
The developing Big Picture Purpose Portal carries that participatory thread into shared experience through Living Art, Reading Circles, gatherings, community participation, and other evolving possibilities. It is being developed in phases so it can grow in response to what is genuinely meaningful and useful.
At the center of Lori’s work is an invitation to look more closely, listen more deeply, remain curious, and allow what is genuinely known, questioned, remembered, revealed, or created to become part of how we live.
Through it all, Lori returns to relationship with the inner child—the part of us that still knows how to wonder, imagine, play, create, laugh, question, observe, take a chance, and see possibility where others may see only the familiar.
